Recently textile and fashion businesses from across Australia pitched in Sydney and Melbourne to join our Common Threads Capability Mission to Hong Kong later this month. The Pitch Days followed extensive workshops and seminars that aimed to build and improve on local brands' export knowledge and capabilities. Brands pitched to a panel of industry experts who were impressed with the local talent and business savvy demonstrated by all of the labels and felt they all demonstrated an understanding of the Hong Kong Market and a readiness to export. Delivering 2 distinct seasons per year with a bent on seasonal trend driven colours, OK OK has become a coveted fashion item with the savvy boutique set in Australia, New Zealand and Japan.
Ugg Australia has been dedicated to making superior quality Australian Merino Sheepskin products for over 34 years. Successfully selling products to customers around Australia, they wanted to create this brand to share their products with everyone, all over the world. They decided on Roman & Ludmila, from the namesake of their founders who emigrated to Australia from the Ukraine in 1980. They brought with them their history and craftsmanship. There is an old Russian Tale of Ruslan and Ludmila, two lovers who fought all odds and persevered until love championed, despite the many obstacles they faced. We will visit Hong Kong from Monday 24 August to Friday 28August, 2015. The week will see our brands meeting and pitching to media, PR and buyers, showcasing their products and their brands. They'll also have the opportunity to meet and network with local fashion and textile businesses and take part in a number of tours.
