Changes to the Government's Industry Skills Fund

Changes to the Government’s Industry Skills Fund.  Expanded to include unincorporated businesses.

Recently the TFIA received a letter from the Minister of Education and Training - Senator the Hon. Simon Birmingham, informing us that he had made some changes to the Government’s Industry Skills Fund (ISF).

With 95% of skills advice and training grants in its first nine months of operation being provided to micro, small and medium sized businesses, the Government have recognised that many of these Australian micro and small businesses operate as sole traders or partnership enterprises. They are therefore extending criteria for the ISF to incorporated businesses who satisfy all other eligibility criteria.  This extension will enable the ISF to now support many more micro and small businesses to plan for growth and develop their workforce.
