The TFIA Training Network is a one-stop shop for industry specific training needs. From individuals through to larger organisations, the TFIA Training Network offers TCF industry skill development with; accredited qualifications, customised fee for service training, vocational short courses, professional development workshops and seminars. With several amazing courses planned for the first quarter of 2016, here is your sneak peak as to what you can expect and an opportunity for you to register your interest!

MEET OUR LEATHER SPECIALIST GIDO THEILIG!

With 26 years in the leather industry and a qualification in Leather Technology, Gido has overseen the processing of various leather types from the rawhide through to the final finish and cut components. During this time, his experience has extended to buying/procurement design and development, technical troubleshooting and co-ordination, quality assurance, claim settlement, production, process and evidence assurance and leather waste improvement management.

THE LEATHER WORKSHOP | WHAT TO EXPECT

The Leather workshops will run as one of the TFIA Training Network's Technical Courses, providing participants with an overview of the leather making process across all leather types. The workshops will provide a step-by-step approach of how leather is made, providing a basic understanding of the various leather types and the production and manufacturing processes from the rawhide through to the finished product. The workshops will also provide opportunity to address individual participant’s questions and challenges, offering advice and solutions. Participants will be encouraged to bring along their challenges in the form of questions or actual samples during class discussions or thereafter.
