Design Make Produce

What We Do

Design Make Produce helps anyone create and manufacture a fashion label.

We connect designers to ethical manufacturers in Australia and Asia, and are passionate about helping emerging fashion designers successfully get their garments to market in an affordable way. We provide end-to-end services in the fashion production supply chain from design, sourcing, manufacturer matchmaking to production management.

We have a team of ex-Design Directors from international fashion houses such as Ralph Lauren, Lee Denim, Kotur and DKNY. They’re highly experienced with 15+ years in the industry and have looked after major brands from New York, Hong Kong to London. They understand what it takes to create a successful fashion brand.

We pride ourselves on being able to match the client needs in everything from sourcing materials at the right price points to managing large, complex production runs. We also pride ourselves in being able to cater to fashion start-ups or anyone trying to enter the market for the first time with small order quantities. We can have any design turned to life, from garments, shoes, leather goods, bags and jewellery.

Design Make Produce

Why We Do It

We understand that the fashion design and manufacturing industry can be difficult to navigate, especially in Asia. It’s difficult to know who to trust, and who can manufacture at the quality and quantity that you require.

From these industry problems, we’ve created the solution of fashion specialists on the ground to guide you and act as ‘your eyes in Asia’. Our designers and sourcing specialists work closely with manufacturers and we always ensure ethical practices are being met.

Our Locations

Our fashion specialists and manufacturer networks are based on the ground in 7 countries: Australia, Malaysia, India, Indonesia, China, Vietnam and Singapore.

Our Services

We believe in a personalised service and we make sure we find the right fashion specialist to work with you and your brand. We’ve so far supported 24 brands in the last 4 months, from t-shirt labels to helping designers produce for international fashion weeks.

Our most popular package (for $500 AUD) includes:

  • creation of a technical pack
  • sourcing for materials and trims
  • personalised matchmaking to the right manufacturer for the MOQ and quality
  • production management for sample-making
Design Make Produce

How It All Began

Design Make Produce was developed after co-founders Felicity and Michelle attempted to start their own fashion label. They found it difficult to find the right quality in Asia without spending a lot of time and money to try and meet the right manufacturers in the different regions. They found that they were not alone and that many new designers also experienced the same difficulties. They decided to solve this problem for themselves and for other emerging designers.

Through their experience they established elite industry networks. They developed Design Make Produce to help other new designers simply and efficiently complete every piece of the fashion design manufacturing supply chain. It also helps high calibre experts in the fashion design manufacturing supply chain undertake extra work in areas they love without all the restrictions of employment with a major fashion house. Design Make Produce helps connects everyone in the fashion design manufacturing supply chain and enables new designs to start and launch their own brand simply and easily.
