LOIS HAZEL

The desire to involve herself in a fashion industry where transparency was not yet custom didn't interest the aspirational RMIT Honors graduate, so she decided to do one thing: be honest.

Launching her label, Lois Hazel in 2015, the designer is committed to sustainable and ethical practices, offering 100% transparency on sourcing and production for each element of garments with all craftsmanship completed either in house or by a network of local seamstresses. Collections incorporate dead stock textiles to minimise waste, and feature exclusive and small run pieces.

SCOTT BENEDICTINE

Scott Benedictine is the Melbourne based label by Warren Harrison. With a high focus on quality and craftsmanship, the designer brings his background in master tailoring to a modern market.

All of the Scott Benedictine Shirting is individually hand cut and machined in their Melbourne Studio 'Maison de Benedictine'. Here, fabrics are carefully selected and time taken to pre-wash and hand treat everything in order to obtain the perfect fit and feel.

Garments tend to be gender-fluid, with pieces designed to be worn how you will, fitted, loose, however you deem to be your choice of perfect 'fit'.

"We believe in 'slow fashion'. We also believe that 'fit' is a relative concept. Something that is personal to the wearer. By purchasing a Scott Benedictine piece, we enter into a kind of collaboration. We spent the time on every stitch, but its true form shows when you put it on. "
